Technical Sales Representative

Job Description and Responsibilities

Reporting to the North American Sales Director, the Technical and Sales Representative will be responsible for developing and supporting commercial efforts in the Canadian market. Secco International already has an established dealer network in Canada. In this role, you will be responsible for the continued development and support of the entire Canadian dealer network (the entire country outside of Quebec province).

  • Lead business development, client management, and partnership initiatives to maximize service value, achieve corporate objectives, and enhance market positioning.
  • Read construction plans and prepare complete ventilation quotes using the tools provided.
  • Assist dealers in their presentations to end users (producers or investors).
  • Train and communicate updates on SKOV-SECCO group innovations to dealers.
  • Stay informed on trends across distinct provincial markets, identify opportunities, monitor competitor activity, and follow market developments.
  • Continuously adapt our solutions and designs to evolving realities.
  • Participate in various trade shows, supporting dealers in promoting our unique ventilation solutions.

Candidate Requirements

  • High school diploma, vocational training, or any other relevant education.
  • A minimum of 5 years of sales experience in a similar role, working with a dealer network.
  • Relevant knowledge of agriculture, construction, dairy farming, or the equipment industry, along with proven experience in developing and maintaining strong dealer relationships.
  • Specific experience with agricultural ventilation systems is considered an asset.
  • Strong technical and mechanical understanding, with an openness to new technologies.
  • Experience and willingness to travel frequently across Canada, up to 40–50% of the time (must own a personal vehicle and hold a valid driver’s license).
  • Strong proficiency with computer tools, including the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Bilingualism in spoken and written communication (English is essential – French is an asset).
