Different ventilation types in our dairy ventilation solutions
This section contains the characteristics, key features, and benefits of varying ventilation types in dairy ventilation and how SKOV-SECCO optimizes each with our state-of-the-art ventilation solutions.
Click on the ventilation system below and read more to learn about each type and how you can potentially apply it accordingly, so you can reap the benefits for your dairy barn.
Natural ventilation
This system is suitable in most regions with warm summers and cold winters. Air exchange in the barn occurs by the natural ventilation principle. The Natural ventilation system is most suited for mid to small-sized barns due to the physical restrictions of the ventilation principle.
Tunnel ventilation
The system is most suitable in regions with warm summers and mild winters. Tunnel ventilation is a negative-pressure system suited for all types of livestock production.
Cross-Tunnel ventilation
Cross-tunnel ventilation is the best tunnel option in large-scale barns to ensure even climate conditions in the barns. Cross tunnel systems have inlets along the entire length of the barn. This provides more evenly distributed air over a greater distance.
LPV ventilation
LPV (side) ventilation is a negative pressure system developed for animal production. This ventilation system ensures accurate adjustment of temperature, air humidity, and air velocity.
Equal pressure ventilation
This system is suitable for most livestock houses in temperate climates. The equal pressure system is suitable to be installed in monoblock houses or when the livestock buildings are positioned closely together.
Combi-Tunnel ventilation
Combi-Tunnel ventilation is a negative-pressure system that is best suited for areas with significant daily or seasonal temperature fluctuations. It ensures optimal conditions for the animals by switching between ventilation principles.
