Calf Barn - LPV Ventilation
LPV (Low-Power Ventilation) systems are well-suited for calf barns in mild and temperate climates. The system uses negative pressure to draw fresh air into the calf barn through air inlets and remove stale air through exhaust fans.
Depending on the application, wall, ceiling, or roof inlets can be used to supply fresh air throughout the calf barn. These inlets are automatically adjusted to create an optimal climate for calves by maintaining appropriate temperature, humidity, and air velocity levels.
During warm periods, the inlet opening is increased, allowing more fresh air to enter the calf barn at higher rates and creating air circulation at calf level.
During colder periods, the inlet opening is reduced, allowing fresh outside air to mix with the warmer indoor air before reaching the calves.
